How to negotiate transportation methods from supplier?

If you import products from China, the supplier quotation is CIF, we recommended you also ask to provide the destination port fee details, so it will avoid unnecessary disputes because of the price is high.

 

If you think that the port of destination is too high, you can ask the supplier to quote the FOB price. Then you find an agent in your country, and be responsible for shipping matters.

 

CIF Price=Product Cost + Insurance + Freight  (See freight)

 

FOB Price= Product Cost  (Including shipping on board)
